Claims Consultant – Commercial

Assist in the management of a Claims Portfolio for a well-respected brokerage. Bring your high level organisation skills and enthusiasm to join this friendly team.

Our client is a well-established brokerage and due to growth, they require a Claims Consultant to assist in the management of a varied Claims Portfolio. The policy types are predominantly Buspack and it is essential that you have a minimum of two years’ experience managing claims from end to end. Approximately 50% of the Portfolio comprises of Professional Indemnity Claims and the remaining 50% are a mixture of Property Damage and Liability Claims.

Our client would ideally prefer applications from those with Commercial Claims experience, however if you do not have this experience but are a fast learner, some training will be provided so please send your CV for consideration. (Applicants with Home and Contents Claims experience wishing to move into a Commercial Claims area are welcome to apply.)

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Claims Assessment
  • Ability to read and interpret/understand a PDS
  • Excellent high level customer service focus
  • Good communications skills (written and oral)
  • Drive, motivation and desire to work constructively with others in a team environment
  • High level attention to detail and superior organisational skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Understanding the importance of commitment and reliability
  • Professional presentation

 

The role includes:

  • Lodgement and assessment of all new claims
  • Accept and settle claims in accordance with delegated authority
  • Determine liability
  • Provide prompt advice to claimants
  • Liaise with claimants, external service providers, insurers and all relevant stakeholders
  • Respond promptly to, and resolve, customer enquiries
  • Maintain up to date electronic files (ensuring file notes are always current)
