Junior Sales Support Entrepreneur

Job Description:

Echo Barrier is a global leader in the temporary noise management arena and the Australian operation is growing rapidly. Echo Barrier acoustic panels have been designed for multiple uses: to reduce noise due to construction activities, noisy equipment, site works, road and rail projects, demolitions to concert venues. Echo Barrier’s customers include multinational construction companies, civil contractors, equipment suppliers, rental companies, and event organisers.

What we are looking for

Echo Barrier needs a Junior Sales Support Entrepreneur to ensure the effective operations of the business and assist in a varied role attending to not only existing customer’s needs but also sourcing and servicing new customers.

The role encompasses variety on a daily basis with a mixture of operations, marketing, and sales. The successful candidate will:

  • Build and nurture relationships with customers and partners regarding service and support
  • Manage and execute customer orders and warehouse operations
  • Developing case studies and testimonials
  • Marketing support – from brochure creation to banner designs
  • Undertake sales calls to generate new work, or follow up leads
  • Prepare quotes/invoices using relevant software
  • Attend trade shows and present the product
  • Be willing to travel interstate as and when required

 

Skills and experience 

This role will be attractive to someone who has a vision to run/participate their own start-up in the future and wants a grounding in the skills, experiences and approach to tackling the challenges introducing a new product concept into a market.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Recent university graduate with minimum 12 months’ work experience
  • Drive and determination to make a difference in a wide diverse range of activities [Sales, executing orders, preparing quotations, assisting existing customers etc.]
  • Strong customer focus
  • High-level literacy and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to formulate analysis and communicate these in writing
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • High-level accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks/competing priorities
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills [Microsoft Suite, Internet]
  • Ideally experience in the construction industry and/or hire rental industry
