Key Account Manager

An exciting and challenging opportunity to join an industry leader in loss adjusting and claims solutions has been created and high performing individuals with proven experience managing key accounts are being sought. The role has arisen due to recent business growth and it reports to the Head of Key Account Management.

The Key Account Manager will maintain and develop relationships with key clients and work at both strategic and operational levels. You will be responsible for demonstrating a value proposition and strategic plan for growth. To be successful in this role you will be experienced in a similar Key Account Manager role in the insurance sector. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to foster enduring relationships with clients in order to ensure client satisfaction and increase sales revenue.

The major focus of this role is to cultivate and manage key client stakeholder relationships, develop and implement tailored service strategies and identify and deliver increased account revenue. The successful candidate will:

  • Take a holistic approach to client management across strategy, operational challenges, client needs, company goals and direction
  • Propose and develop solutions to address the client’s needs
  • Identify new opportunities to increase profitability
  • Participate in the preparation of tenders, proposals, capability statements, RFI submissions and other external marketing communication
  • Design and develop a management plan for key account management which would include regular face-to-face meetings, analysis of metrics, provision of management information and other reporting as may be required
  • Conduct regular client reviews
  • Positively promote their employer’s services

 

ESSENTIAL:

  • High-level understanding of claims management and general insurance markets
  • Demonstrated high-level account management experience in the insurance sector
  • Previous experience in account management including meeting and exceeding budgets
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • High-level customer service focus
  • Well-developed communication skills; written and verbal
