Our client is a design company with a difference; soft furnishings for impressive commercial and high end private clients. Due to growth they have a need for a self-motivated experienced Business Development professional with previous experience working within the A&D market. The primary focus of this role is to identify, develop and close new business opportunities.  This is an extremely critical role within the company and previous business development and relationship building experience is essential.

 You must be prepared to brag about your success story to get us really interested! 

The Role

• Build relationships with new clients ensuring business opportunities
• Maintain existing client relationships
• Relentlessly follow up leads or targets
• Follow through to ensure sales are closed
• Be prepared to learn about our client's products and its clients
• Be prepared to travel at least 3 times a year interstate and possibly fortnightly within NSW

The Person

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previously worked in the A&D market
• Have at least 3-4 years' experience in a similar role
• Have a passion for design
• Enjoy the design process and meeting with architects and designers
• Ideally have worked in the residential and commercial field
• Be prepared to travel interstate and within NSW
• Be energetic and intuitive with a passion for success in sales
• Ability to demonstrate they can meet or exceed the targets
• Be  professionally presented and well spoken
