Structural Engineer

A leading provider of claims management solutions is looking for a senior forensic engineering specialist to join its team in Adelaide. This is an outstanding opportunity for an Engineers Australia-chartered professional with at least 5 years experience to play a key role with this well-respected international organisation.

You will be responsible for conducting and coordinating unbiased field investigations (including foundation settlements, structural assessments, site evaluations, sub-surface investigations and vibration analysis) across all types of structures for various clients.

You will be an excellent communicator who is able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and provide concise, timely reports.

 Your resume will be able to demonstrate:

  • 5+ years experience as an engineer working across residential and small commercial sites
  • Current Chartered status with Engineers Australia
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (ideally Structural Engineering)
  • High level reporting skills
  • Experience providing expert testimony to support your conclusions in legal proceedings
  • A thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards

Experience working with insurers and/or legal firms is highly regarded.

In addition, you will be:

  • Highly customer-focused and able to meet deadlines
  • A skilled communicator who can liaise with people at all levels
  • Organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • IT savvy
