Portfolio/Product Underwriting Manager Aust & NZ

This newly created role in a fast paced & growing business needs your strong team leadership to build strong relationships in the Dealer market place.

Your technical Underwriting skill sets will see you reviewing the performance of products designed for Dealers, our Clients' Business Networks and our customer base to meet current business and future growth aspirations.

Reporting to the GM, the key focus of the Product Manager is to provide technical support for the improvement and development of products, create/refine processes and systems through the distribution channels.
 
You will ensure that products are meeting end-user requirements and that processes and systems are user-friendly. You will work closely with Distribution and IT and you will be actively involved in analysing portfolios and identifying growth opportunities in well performing segments and improvement solutions for lagging areas.

To be successful in this role you will have: 
  • Minimum 7 years' experience specialising in Product Management or Underwriting, preferably in the Motor, Marine and CCI arenas 
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Well-developed organisational, leadership and planning abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Innovative skills - a lateral thinker but with a strong commercial focus
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with all stakeholders 
  • Tertiary qualifications, whilst not essential will be highly regarded. Industry qualifications are essential as is the right to work in Australia.
