Our client is an international Loss Adjusting firm providing services to insurance companies, businesses and their advisors. They currently have a need for a Forensic Accountant based in NSW to assist their expanding work load.

If you experienced in forensic accounting and business interruption claims, then the work will be familiar to you. Naturally people orientated, you will enjoy using your analytical skills and accounting knowledge to its full potential, developing personable relationships with clients who may have suffered loss to their business through natural disasters, fraud in the work place or disputes.

The Role

You will be involved in the following activities:

• Liaising with Clients and providing expert advice
• Conducting financial investigations
• Preparing, negotiating and settling material damage & business interruption claims
• Preparation of loss analysis details in accordance with insurance policies
• Determining loss quantum
• Preparation of insurance claims
• Preparation of reports suitable for use in court
• Provision of dispute advice

The Person

• Minimum 3 years CA/CPA post qualified experience
• Insurance background [ideally from a Loss Adjusting perspective] essential in Forensic Accounting
• High level attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Proven relationship building skills
• Ability to empathise with people who have suffered loss to their business or property
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good excel modelling skills to be able to construct complex financial models from data provided by clients
• Have a genuine interest in forensic accounting
